The Promise

Together in our garden all alone as soft wind caresseses our face,
with red wine so sweet to moisten my lips just like your tender kiss
a toast to love within our hearts a promise we made to this place,
will forever be the lone witness to a love I don’t ever want to miss.

So I closed my eyes so willingly yielding to your warm embrace,
you held my hand and oh, so tenderly and finally made me wish,
for a lasting moment that’s always here to fill my heart with grace,
lifetime memories forever will stay and to keep our spirits in bliss.

Softly you whispered to me dearly and my heart began to race,
the sweetest word I longed to hear that kept my feeling at ease,
you made me feel the warmth within leaving such sensual trace,
I only desire to love you dearly, the passion to which I’m pleased.

And so we are here together now with our love’s delightful ways,
you given me so full of love where nothing can be better than this,
I promise you that it will last forever and will never be misplaced,
My love, my life, my heart, my soul and my everything there is.
